Electricity crises in Pakistan

Every one seems to be talking about Electricity, sui gas,flour,water...... these are very core issues that we are currently facing at very intense manner.....And still there is not seems to be any improvisation from goverment side....The ordinary Pakistanis, middle and lower class in particular, are suffering through these crises (making their daily lives a misery) which, unfortunately, have got very little attention from our goverment...... There are many areas of old city which are often without any electricity, gas or water for entire day in this extremely cold weather...Specially electricity goes off after 1 hour and we have to sit in candle night(except for the 5% who have generaters....and usually spend time in darkness..Electricity specially creating problem for students...who cant be able to stude in darkness..There have been difficult situations since the creation of Pakistan but I don’t think ever before so many crises have hit us in such quick succession. During last two years, particularly, we have seen nothing but crises, one after the other, and not a single one handled properly by government. On most occasions, authorities could have controlled situation by better management and strict administration. but they are putting pakistan into corner....Everyone seems to be interested in power but no one making plans to resolve the basic problems that are occuring in pakistan..Every person is making money for there self interst and no one is looking towards the core issues in pakistan..
The demand for electricity in Pakistan during the winter months actually goes down and this winter has not been an exception. Throughout the month of December, the electricity consumption in Pakistan hovered around 11,000 MW, down from the peak levels of 17,500 MW seen in summer. This demand was well within the installed capacity of WAPDA & KESC yet they were only generating a meager one third (6500MW) of their maximum capacity during this period leaving a huge gap between supply and demand. Their are two main reasons for this:
1. The water flow from all major dams was halted starting mid December to allow the annual cleaning of canals in January. This action effectively took all the hydro power off line.
2. The thermal power plants were working far below their potential due to the lack of money caused by the circular debt between various government agencies reaching a staggering 400 billion Rupees

Nobody is coming forward from government authorities, explaining the cause of, for example the flour crisis, and informing public on the actions being taken to improve the situation. Most of u must be aware of about an interview that was given by the Mr. Musharraf on Geo and highlighted the point that he doesn’t interfere at all in government operations and the only things he looks after is the war against terrorism and the future power needs of Pakistan. I am sure many of you remember the presentations and news clip from aiwan-e-sadr (Presidential Palace) which used to appear on news channels daily and then the press briefings with claims of new dams (including Kala Bagh dam) to be built and a plan has been made to fulfill Pakistan’s power needs for next 20 years. So, what happened to our tax money that has been wasted on funky presentations and planning and no actions and results?
There are some points that i want to explore infront of u.....

1.I was watching Geo and they were showing reports of rural areas of entire country where they are getting electricity for only 2-4 hours a day. Every indication shows that the situation is only being worse day by day.

2.The flour crisis has intensified as people facing hardships to buy the essential food item on increased price...the flour is being sold more then from then from its official rate...

3.People need things like food, energy, shelter, education, health and security to survive not the mobile phones and leased/financed motorcycles and cars. We have been hearing tall claims during last 5-6 years and I think we have a right to ask questions that where are the results? Whatever it is, some well known people have sure made a LOT of money during that time...

4.Blaming only on politicians would not be enough..We are all involved to put pakistan in this crises situation...We all have to put our effort to resolve these crises in pakistan.

5.I like to believe that things would be better in future. But just how, that I do not know. Somehow as a nation, we have to figure that out and quickly. Rigged or not so rigged elections take place every year but how it would bring any positive change in ordinary person’s life remains to be seen?

And further, pakistan is being threatend from the neighbour country now a days..so how we able to stop crises..it is just being increase day by day..We suppose to get some quick reaction to get rid of these crises and make our pakistan a peacefull country as our islam said.... May God bless pakistan....Amen

Hygiene/Sanitation factors in Pakistan

I m writing this article for those people who never care about the garbage, and can throw anywhere. They never relized that it can create numerous diseases for human being. So thats why i m writing this article to make them aware about this hygiene phenomena.
Hygiene phenomena in pakistan is being worst day by day. people are being more careless, lack of education, goverment is not very much concern with this phenomena, and there are so many other crises have occured in pakistan, thats why this hygiene phenomena is being neglected.

Some factrs that are clearly defined as dangerous for human being
1. pestisides residues
2. viruses
3. Residue in meats
4. Contamination of food by bacteria
5. Unhygienic condition outside home
6. Environmental pollutants
7. Genetically modified products
8. Food aditives
9. Animal welfare
10. Lack of education
11. Less community Participation
12. Industrial water
And on the contray people there are some personal factors that are being a caused of unhygienic factors. such as:
1. Individual susceptibility to food alergies
2. Food preparation at home
3. Hygiene of the household
4. Hygiene of the body
5. Hygiene of cloths
6. Smoking habits
7. Less sharing of knowledge about hygiene
8. Dust control

These are some factors that are affecting hygienic environment.People are very less concerned about personal factors rather than external factors. Its you and we that sets up all the things, and there is an internal which is given by the God to us, we wont be able to create a change in this phenomena untill or unles we change our internal.
The objective of the study was determine factors that could motivate people to adopt safe hygienic practices. There were several key issues raised in the study which require appropriate strategic interventions.
These are factors that we need to apply in our life to make our society healthy and to remove diseases from our society.
